The journey begins!!!

So I'm sitting in the Halifax airport waiting for my flight as it has been slightly delayed. But I'm super pumped with how everything has gone so far! I was very blessed when I checked my bags because they told me I could only take 3 total (however, I have 3 medical bags and a personal bag.. all 50lbs to boot) and after explaining the whole situation about it being medical supplies, the airline employee called her supervisor to see what the could do.. she tried very had to convince him to waive all my fees, which he couldn't do, but he did waive one $35 fee and allowed me to check the 4th bag! So thankfully all my bags were accepted and she also just turned a blind eye to the fact that some of them were 52-55 lbs.. so a bit over. Again such a blessing!! She also worked it out so my bags are checked directly to Roatan, and I won't have to pick them up during my overnight in Newark later on today.
All the way through customs and security everyone seemed extra nice once they realized I was a nurse headed to volunteer at a clinic and customs was very lenient about the supplies I was carrying! So all in all, it has been just fantastic thus far, and I trust God's provision will continue as I fly to Newark tonight and on to Houston and Roatan, Honduras tomorrow!

Thanks to everyone for their support and prayers as I embark on this exciting adventure!
